Yes, it’s almost that time again when the great and good of Charlton Kings flock to the Royal for a jolly good knees up to finish off the summer and enjoy our last Bank Holiday of the year, all in support of the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice.

Our ale and cider tent will be here and we’ll be firing up the pizza oven over the weekend as well as our normal menu available in the pub.

We start the weekend in style on Friday 27th at 7pm with an alfresco performance from Soular.

Sunday 29th at 4pm sees the return of our annual Dog Show. We are delighted that K Nine Dog Studio are supporting and judging the event. With categories such as ‘Waggiest Tail‘, ‘Prettiest Lady’, ‘Most Handsome Chap’ and ‘Best Trick’ to name a few, it’s just £1 per entry per category with some great prizes lined up and all proceeds going to Sue Ryder. Then we have a real musical treat at 6pm when we are joined by Mark Walby. If you still have the energy left our famous Mega Quiz takes place at 8pm. (£2 per person, teams up to six, with big prizes on offer).

We’ve booked the sunshine and a host of brilliant musicians for Monday 30th with Alice Boxall, Slowjin, Rio, The Rhythm Slingers and Masterplan. Plus, there’s plenty to entertain the little ones with children’s craft activities, Cheltenham Face Painting and the ever brilliant Music Man at 3pm.
