OUR COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES
STAYING SAFE AT THE ROYAL
Customer and team safety is our top priority and we have made some alterations to how we usually operate in light of COVID-19.
How to Book
We do have availability for walk in customers if you want to come along. However to guarantee a table we recommend that you book by filling out the form on our Contact page. Your booking remains unconfirmed until we respond and confirm. We aim to respond to your enquiry within 24 hours on a first come first served basis. When making a booking enquiry please state your name, telephone number, whether you would like a table inside or outside, the date and time and the number of people.
Bookings can be made for drinking only and dining.
Tables will be allocated for a two hour period.
Tables booked in our garden are made at the customer’s own risk as we may need to cancel your table in the event of bad weather. Plus, with the unpredictability of our great British weather we would be unable to accommodate you inside the building if there was, for instance, an unexpected rain shower. Spare fleeces and umbrellas might be an idea!
If we do not have your contact details from your booking (walk in customers) we will collect your contact details on arrival. Our preference is that you use the NHS Covid 19 app and scan the QR code on arrival.
We will keep contact details for up to 21 days as part of the Test and Trace program (GDPR compliant).
By law we can accept tables to a maximum size of six people.
Our tables will be suitably spaced to allow for social distancing.
We ask you to remain with your table at all times.
We will be operating with table service only. Children and adults need to remain seated inside and outside, except for visits to the toilets. You can view our menu on our website and we will also have disposable menus. Our team will maintain a safe distance when serving your table and we ask that you help us out with this.
We will be taking card payments only. Outside payments will be made as you order, rather than at the end of your visit.
In line with mandatory Government guidelines face coverings should be worn at all times except when seated.
Our front of house team will be wearing face coverings.
Please do not visit if you are showing symptoms of COVID-19.
Table bookings will be staggered to limit queuing. When you arrive you will be shown to your table. Hand sanitizer stations are placed at the entrance, by the toilets and at various other points around the pub. We ask that you maintain regular hand washing and sanitizing during your visit.
While keeping you comfortable we will keep some doors and windows open to reduce touch points and also to allow additional ventilation.
We ask that you maintain social distancing at all times.
You will notice our team regularly cleaning surfaces (even more than usual!)
The pub will close it’s doors every night at 10pm. Last orders will be at 9.30pm.
There are rules in our new world, but we are sure they will not be onerous, and they won’t get in the way of you having a good time. We can’t wait to see you.
