We are super excited for a long weekend for the King’s Coronation. Join us on Coronation Day, Saturday 6th May for a truly regal celebration (well, we are ‘The Royal’ after all).

There will be a number of British Specials in addition to our regular menu. Enjoy classics such as Crispy Fried Whitebait, Toad in the Hole, The Royal Ploughmans and Eton Mess. Get into the spirit with our homemade Coronation Chicken Pie and we will even be serving our version of the official Coronation Quiche; a delicious quiche of Spinach, Broad Beans and Fresh Tarragon!

Talking of quiches…..We are running our very own version of the Great British Bake Off and it’s Pastry Week! There are no rules, we just want your take on a quiche. Points will be awarded for creativity and taste of course. Bring in your quiche by 3pm on Saturday and the judging will take place at 4pm. Top prize is a 3 course meal for 2 here at the Royal. Ready, steady, bake!

Our pizza oven will be fired up at 5pm serving delicious hand made pizza. As a quintessentially British twist, we’re offering a glass of Pimm’s for half price when you buy any pizza. A perfect combo, fit for a King we think!

From 5-7pm we will have music on the patio (weather permitting) with Andy Overton. Dance, tap and smile to Andy’s unique take on some absolute classic tracks.

There will be some garden games and crafts for the little ones (ok and big ones too) and you’ll be able to join us at any point during the day to watch the momentous proceedings with us on the TV.
